These simple, yet delicious cookies are the best around Christmas time. A classic staple in our family, I’d recommend doubling or tripling this recipe. I can guarantee they will go quickly!

Almond Crescents
These simple, yet delicious cookies are the best around Christmas time. A classic staple in our family, I'd recommend doubling or tripling this recipe. I can guarantee they will go quickly!
Ingredients
- 2 sticks Butter
- 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 cups Flour
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- 2 tbs Water
- 1/2 cup Chopped almonds (or pecans)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
- In a large bowl, mix together the butter, sugar and vanilla
- In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, salt, cinnamon, water and nuts
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet
- Roll the dough into a rope shape and form crescents
- Bake for 20-25 minutes
- Allow to cool completely, then roll in powdered sugar
